Balfe Park Lane, Brunswick East

Project Description

A 6 storey mixed use development with public pedestrian connection through the site, retail space fronting Nicholson Street, elevated central landscaped courtyard, common roof top terrace and townhouse style apartments fronting Balfe Park. A key aspect of the design was achieving a high level of compliance with Liveable Housing Australia’s Liveable Design Standards and embedding passive environmental design features such as dual aspect apartments with cross-ventilation.

Designed by Kerstin Thompson Architects (KTA) for Antipodean Land Developments. The design won the Best Overend Award for Multiple Residential Architecture in the 2022 Victorian Architecture Awards.
