Holroyd Avenue, St Kilda East
Project Description
A pair of contemporary semi-detached dwellings with rooftop terraces and rear yard swimming pools. The site sits within a leafy residential street of older homes. Development constrains related to a large Council street tree in front of the site making vehicle access difficult, neighbouring trees planted close to the property boundaries impacting the building envelope. Neighbourhood character was a key issue for neighbours, which required careful assessment and explanation of the design response in a streetscape dominated by single storey detached dwellings on large lots.
